National Framework Contract for supply of data loggers and telemetry outstations Print E-mail

Environment Agency, August 2008 - ongoing

Isodaq Hawk RT included in EA National Framework Contract for the supply of data loggers and telemetry outstationsHydro-Logic have supplied Isodaq data loggers to the EA under a National Framework Contract since 2001. A new framework contract was advertised under EU OJEC competition law to combine the supply of data loggers and telemetry outstations for hydrometric applications. Hydro-Logic was appointed as one of 7 chosen tenderers for supply of both the VF and Hawk range.

The Hawk range was selected because of its flexibility for a variety of applications:

  • Choice of PSTN, GSM and Satellite modems
  • Integrated with EA's existing top-end telemetry servers using the DNP3 protocols
  • Flexible configuration for virtually any analogue or digital input channel including shaft-encoders, depth pressure sensors, tipping-bucket raingauges plus SDI-12 smart sensor.

Supply of Isodaq Hawk Units as Replacement Telemetry Loggers Print E-mail

Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), March 2007

Supply to SEPA of Isodaq Hawk units as replacement telemetry loggersHydro-Logic was appointed as a joint supplier to SEPA for their telemetry logger outstation replacement programme. The initial order following a formal EU OJEC tendering process was for 250 Hawk XT outstations. These units were a combination of both PSTN and GSM, with all the systems being linked to SEPA's present telemetry network HIMS system. The majority of these telemetry data loggers are to be connected to either shaft encoders or pressure transmitters for the measurement of stage level at flow gauging and flood warning stations.

Pocket Gauger becomes Industry-Standard for Current-Meter Gauging Print E-mail
Pocket Gauger designed to operate on the ruggedised Juniper Archer PDA becomes industry standard for current-meter gaugingHydro-Logic recently received major orders for the Pocket Gauger Windows Mobile software package from the two environmental regulators covering England and Wales (EA) and Scotland (SEPA). These orders have effectively confirmed Pocket Gauger's status as the UK's de-facto industry-standard system for collecting current-meter gaugings using conventional impellor-style meters.

National Framework Contract for supply of Teledyne RDi ADCP Flow Gauging Equipment Print E-mail

Environment Agency, 2002 - ongoing

Hydro-Logic are exclusive distributors in the UK and Ireland for Teledyne RDi ADCP instruments

Hydro-Logic have lead the introduction of ADCP technology into UK hydrometric practice, and have been exclusive distributors in the UK and Ireland for Teledyne RDi ADCP instruments since 2002.

Subsequently, the EA appointed Hydro-Logic to a National Framework Contract for the supply of ADCP equipment.

Hydro-Logic have since sold hundreds of profilers for both current meter gauging and continuous flow gauging stations and have provided training courses on ADCP technology to all the UK's environmental regulators. These courses include both field exercises on deployment methods, as well as background theory on how to operate and maximize the benefits of introducing ADCP technology.
